Chinese Whisperings welcomes back Canadian author Tina Hunter, author of The Red Book’s fifth story, Innocence, the creator of our video book trailer, and the whispering voice at the start and end of the trailers.
Tina works in the Science Fiction and Fantasy genres, however a touch of horror has been know to infect her work. 2009 was Tina’s breakthrough year, with four flash fiction stories published in two anthologies as well as her story in The Red Book.
Tina lives in Edmonton, Alberta, with her husband and two loving dogs, River and Masey. Intrigued by the collaborative venture offered by Chinese Whisperings, she is back for more in The Yin Book.
Tina has said that the thing she most enjoyed about Chinese Whisperings was:
Definitely the people. The editors and fellow writers, Jodi and Paul A., were fun to spend time with, and really in the end it’s the people that make all the difference. The other writers were fun to get to know too, although we didn’t spend that much time together. I can already see that will be different for 2010.
But it wasn’t an easy prospect to come back for more of Chinese Whisperings in 2010:
When I first got asked I was very hesitant. During the process there were issues and problems but nothing so big that we (myself and the editors) couldn’t get over. When everything was finished, looking back, everything came across so professional. I really felt like I was apart of something that was going to go on to do big things – and who doesn’t want to be involved in something like that?
We’re incredibly excited to have Tina on board for a new round of Chinese Whisperings.
