Benjamin Solah is a Marxist horror writer who writes agitational fiction aimed at exposing the horrors of capitalist society from exploitation, to wars, to oppression. He uses the metaphor of horror to draw out the violence and darkness within society.

He draws his influences from two sides; The Goosebumps books when he was a kid and Stephen King from his teenager years inspired his horror side, whilst writers like John Steinbeck and German revolutionary, Rosa Luxemburg provide the roots for the unashamedly left-wing streak in his writing.

His works in progress include a novel about a serial boss killer, a novel about the collapse of society after a severe economic recession, and a novella featuring a racist fascist group that’s ideas aren’t the only thing that’s decaying. He is currently also working on self-publishing a collection of his older writings, that would be a demo tape if Benjamin were a band.

Residing in Melbourne, Australia, he works full-time in a soul-destroying office job but is also an active Marxist revolutionary involved in the campaigns for same-sex marriage rights and against the apartheid state of Israel.
