Carrie Clevenger worships Maynard and dreams of cephalopods on trains among other oddities in Austin, Texas. To say that she has her hands full with her two daughters, two cats, and a saintly jar-opening husband is an understatement, but the Creative Muse (he goes by M) still tends to insist on proper attention — and often at the most improper times.

Initially an avid non-fiction reader and occasional poet, she discovered the power of the Storyteller when she first happened upon the horror/thriller genre. These books became kindling to a whole new passion. She didn’t start the fire; she just brought the gasoline.

Carrie is motivated by Stephen King, music, excessive amounts of coffee, and forks. She plans to publish in the best magazines in the world.
